Born in 1945.   Graduated high school-Cahokia, IL.   B.A. in philosophy from SIU-C.  M.A. in psychology from SIU-E.   Peace Corps-Palau, Micronesia.  Travel/Study Program-Refugee camps in Harlingen TX, throughout Mexico, Central America and Cuba.  Resident of San Francisco for 25 years.  Member of St. Paul UCC-Belleville, IL.  Co-founder of Angels of St. Clair County.

Skill Set/Experience:  Over 30 years of experience advocating for and providing services for disadvantaged groups including populations who were mentally ill, homeless, victims of domestic violence, unemployed, alcohol/drug addicted, women and LGBT.  Skills include counseling, crisis intervention, street outreach, case management, program creation and development, program management, staff and volunteer supervision, administration, community fundraising, grant writing and advocacy.

Trainings:  Communication skills, conflict resolution, conflict de-escalation, and crisis intervention, personal safety and disaster preparedness.  Training in personal growth include Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Radical Psychiatry, Logo therapy, Primal Therapy, art therapy.

Values: All lives matter.  Everyone should have the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. All should have an opportunity for living wage job or if unable to work, sufficient income for a dignified life and an opportunity to do volunteer work to achieve their potential and contribute to their family and greater community.
